SDx: Inventors of Dynamic Flux Amplification (DFA)
Home Page

SDx has developed a revolutionary rapid and sensitive technique that eliminates the need for target specific probes, PCR licenses, real-time instruments all with our new amplification chemistry and assay design technology, Dynamic Flux Amplification (DFA).

All of this at a lower cost per test!

SDx technologies will change the way scientists detect the presence of DNA and RNA in any sample.  The currently accepted 'gold standard' to perform this type of analysis is termed PCR (or, polymerase chain reaction), the technique has benefited tremendously over the past 15 years from fluorescent chemistries which enable the display of results online and in real-time (known as real-time PCR (RT-PCR).

One of the fundamental issues raised with RT-PCR is the requirement for expensive fluorescently labeled target specific probes, either TaqMan, Molecular Beacons, or HybProbes.

SDx's DFA Technique easily detects the target without forming non-specific products:
Real-time PCR with dsDNA Binding Dye
   DFA with dsDNA Binding Dye

 Lots of non-specific product formation
   ONLY Specific product formation
